The World's Longest Hashtag

Charity month

Around the time of the new financial year, it was nice to see people in the industry giving back, from charity assault courses to running the London Marathon.

April was a spectacular month for the industry, raising money for some fantastic charitable causes. We'd like to applaud the hard work that many companies have put in to raise money for charity.

Our cover star, Gareth Lewis, Head of Sales at Precise Mortgages, recently ran the London Marathon to raise money for Rooprai Spinal Trust. Gareth managed to finish in 6:19, later telling friends that his knee injury had 'cost him'!

Andrew Hosford, of Voltaire Bridging and James Thomlinson, Founding Partner of Voltaire Financial completed the Tough Mudder charity assault course on the 26th April. They both raised money for Children with Cancer UK, by running through a 10 mile military-style course that included 20 obstacles and a host of ice baths, fire pits, electric cables and 20ft walls to scale, amongst others.
