Shawbrook Bank has hired Peter McDermid as its new Scotland based BDM.

The specialist savings and lending bank has recently appointed native Scot, Peter McDermid, as its new Business Development Manager, who will be responsible for developing broker and introducer networks, and grow business across Scotland.  

Peter, who has a diploma in Financial Services and a Real Estate certificate, has a vast range of experience in the Scottish banking sector, with nine years as a Relationship Manager, dealing with commercial clients, at Bank of Scotland under his belt.

Peter also worked at the bank’s real estate division, where he was responsible for generating sales and supporting brokers.

Commenting on his new role, Peter said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to join Shawbrook at such an exciting time, to support Scottish brokers and develop this region. I hope to bring the benefit of my local experience to really drive new business and look forward to working with the rest of the sales team to contribute towards Shawbrook’s impressive growth”.
