Together wins management team award

Together has been named large company management team of the year at a regional awards ceremony.

The annual British Venture Capitalists’ Association (BVCA) Management Team Awards for the North West acknowledges and celebrates the successes and achievements of businesses that receive funding from private equity and venture capital.

Henry Moser currently holds the majority stake in Together and last week the lender revealed he was identified as the preferred sole shareholder after minority shareholder Equistone announced it intends to exit the business.

Speaking about receiving the award, Mike McTighe, group chairman, was proud to have been acknowledged for the work the management team had achieved at Together.

“Since the time of the investment, the business has demonstrated robust performance, proving resilient in the recessionary period and trading successfully through different economic cycles.

“The significant growth of the group over the past decade is a testament to the passion and commitment of the leadership team, with Equistone being a highly supportive partner to the business.”

Together has traded for 42 years and has a loan book in excess of £1.7bn with total new lending for the year ending 31st March 2016 at £971m.

The specialist lender has also secured funding from two securitisation programmes and a bond issuance with combined facilities in excess of £1.5bn.

Speaking of the future for Together, Mike added: “To support our ongoing expansion we’ve invested heavily in our infrastructure and in our staff headcount, which has grown by 78% in the past 10 years.

“We currently employ over 460 dedicated colleagues at our Cheadle-based headquarters who make a huge contribution to our success.”
