Just 15% of adults regularly see a financial adviser




Just 15% of adults regularly see a financial adviser according to the latest study by financial advice network Openwork.

The research found that around 23% of men claimed to see an adviser, compared with only 10% of women.

Other highlights from Openwork’s study included:

  • 56% believed they would benefit from regular financial advice
  • demand for financial support rose to 71% among under-35s
  • around 40% of participants wished their employer would offer financial advice
  • 33% of adults admit to not being confident with matters concerning money and 40% worry that they do not know enough about money
     

Claire Limon, director of learning and acquisition at Openwork, said: “More people across the UK recognise they need expert help to create and protect wealth for themselves and their families and want to have more control over their finances during uncertainty across the economy.”
