This follows Arbuthnot Banking Group’s announcement in July that it had reached an agreement with a management team to establish a specialist secured lending business.

In June, Amicus Property Finance revealed that Yasin and Shoaib had decided to leave the business to pursue new opportunities.

In 2007, the pair co-founded top tier short-term and bridging lender, Mayfair Bridging, which was then acquired by Amicus Finance PLC in 2014, and merged with the Amicus brand in October 2015.

A spokesperson for Arbuthnot Latham & Co Limited told Bridging & Commercial: “Yasin and Shoaib have extensive experience in the short-term and development finance sector, in addition to FCA regulatory roles. 

“Prior to their appointment at Arbuthnot Latham, Yasin and Shoaib were co-heading the Amicus Finance PLC northern office.”

Arbuthnot Latham & Co confirmed that more appointments were expected in the coming months and an update would be provided in due course once the entire management team was in place.
