ASK hits £1bn lending milestone

ASK Partners has reached the £1bn mark for completed loan transactions.

Since March 2017, when the lender wrote its first loan, ASK completed 95 UK transactions in a broad variety of sectors, both residential and commercial.

Of the total £1bn sum lent, 75% was arranged from March 2020 to date.

All deals have been completed with no defaults, 41 of which have already been redeemed — totalling £385m.

The deal that pushed the company’s lending over the £1bn milestone was a recent £40m co-loan completed in partnership with OakNorth Bank, secured against a former House of Fraser store in Richmond, west London.

Daniel Austin, CEO and co-founder of ASK Partners (pictured above), said: “Everyone in the ASK team is very proud to have reached this significant milestone.

“We have built strong momentum and have navigated the challenging economic environment with a cautious approach — our unique funding structure of HNWI and private family offices means we do not race to deploy funds, allowing us to carefully select the opportunities which will bring the best risk-adjusted returns.

“We will continue to set ambitious, yet achievable targets for our future growth, believing that the property sector has shown resilience in what remains a turbulent market.”
