Both will report to the bank’s regional director for Midlands and the South, Jayne Follows.

Gary has over 20 years of experience working with property professionals and businesses across the East Midlands — almost 10 of which were spent at Handelsbanken, where he held a variety of roles, including corporate banking manager and credit analyst.

Meanwhile, Vaughan brings over 30 years of experience to his role at Cambridge & Counties Bank, having previously worked at various companies, such as Lloyds, Santander and Nationwide.

The new hires bring the headcount for the Midlands team to 14 members.

According to the bank, the appointments reflect the growth of the bank’s regional property book and strong demand from real estate professionals and SMEs and their commercial finance brokers.
