Hope Capital reports strong growth after multiple hires and promotions

Hope Capital has reported its most successful period to date in H1 2023, with staff increases of 40% since the same period last year, following a series of new appointments and promotions.

One of the changes includes the promotion of Kim Parker from business development executive to sales team manager — she will now lead the sales department in ensuring broker and client needs are met while also implementing strategy.

David Weir has also been promoted to BDM and will now oversee all bridging finance cases in the North and Scotland, and the internal sales team has been enhanced with the appointment of Jack Gardner as senior business development executive, as well as Callum Goulden  and Michael Trafford  as business development executives.

Various developments have also been made to Hope Capital’s underwriting department, including Jon Reed who has been promoted to senior credit manager, and Cheryl Smyth who will be managing bridging applications, bringing over 15 years’ experience in the finance industry with her.

The lender’s portfolio management team has also seen two new additions with Mayo-Yemi Onafowokan and Sarah Matthews — both new recruits join the team with a significant amount of experience in financial services and will be instrumental in ensuring borrower’s loans redeem on time, while also providing support if client’s run into any unforeseen circumstances.

Emily Crowe has also been promoted to senior marketing and PR executive and will continue to manage all press relations and communications to stakeholders within the industry, while also supporting the strategic growth of the business.

Jonathan Sealey, CEO at Hope Capital (pictured above), commented: “First and foremost, congratulations to Kim, David, Jon and Emily for this much-deserved recognition — every single one of these promotions is hugely deserved and reflects the dedication and skills each person has.

“I’m really proud of them all and I’m looking forward to seeing them flourish even more in the future.

“It’s great there are lots of developments across the board, and we’re extremely lucky to have such a rich pool of talent within the business.”
