Capital Bridging appoints brand new CEO

Capital Bridging has announced that it has appointed a brand new CEO as part of the company's ongoing growth within the market.

Capital Bridging has announced that it has appointed a brand new CEO as part of the company’s ongoing growth within the market.

Capital Bridging Finance Limited (CBFL) has appointed John Jenkins as its brand new CEO.

John joins after eight years as CEO of GE Capital, where he successfully unified five core businesses that covered multiple markets.

With Capital looking to be regulated in the future and a potential banking licence on the horizon, a reputation like Jenkins' will bring a wealth of credibility to the process.

Prior to GE Capital, John spent 17 years at Lloyds TSB, ending as Sales Director of the commercial finance business and a key member of its strategic management board.

Commenting on the news, Keith Aldridge, MD of Capital Bridging, said: “This is a new position and with Capital Bridging continuing to grow, including the further funding provided by our secured lending property fund, having a CEO with John’s experience will be invaluable in leading the company.

“We have been putting together our growth plans for the second half of the year and John’s appointment is a further indication of our determination to be an increasing influence in the specialist short-term funding markets.”

Also commenting, New Capital Bridging CEO, John Jenkins, said: “I am excited about this new opportunity, both on the existing property lending side and also when considering other opportunities that are emerging in the sector, looking to see how we can expand the business into other specialist lending areas that we have seen banks moving away from.”

Keith concluded: “In the last 18 months we have increased our in-house resource fourfold and with this significant appointment we believe we are in a very strong position to capitalise on the opportunities that our strong distribution model is giving us.

“I will be working closely with John to develop the Capital Bridging proposition. His reputation will be a great asset to the business as we diversify and build on our own growing reputation for innovation and service.”
