In August, with summer holidays in full swing, we can all expect the reams of pictures filling our twitter feeds, making us envy those sat in the sunshine. So we thought we’d snoop around and find some of the highlights of the jet setters, staycationers, and the day dreamers…

James Bloom, CEO of Regentsmead, has flown off to Istanbul this week, although he seems to be hoping to get some development business whilst there!

Cat Foley from Alternative Bridging enjoyed a sunny staycation with her family in Dartmouth, giving us food envy with her snap of traditional fish and chips enjoyed on Dartmouth Harbour.

Moving away from the peace and quiet and onto the more rowdy holiday’s, Alan Cleary from Precise Mortgages shared the fancy dress fun he and his friends got up to whilst hiding out at his friend’s 10 bedroom Chateau in the South of France, where apparently Mel B from the Spice Girls decided to gate-crash…

Simon Ryder from First Financial Intermediaries also enjoyed some European sunshine in Palma, although no Spice Girls made an appearance whilst he had dinner on at Port Adriano.

Will Lloyd from Brightstar also enjoyed a staycation in the lovely heat wave we have been experiencing (until a couple of days ago – I just looked out of the window and it is current hailing, so I take back the heatwave comment). Down in Devon, Will shared his moment of becoming Sailor Lloyd for the day.

With everyone seeming to be out of the office, you would have thought that August would not see much activity at all, but as Watts Commercial found out, it is just as busy as ever.

Those of us with the holiday blues, or those sat in anticipation of heading to the airport, can find enjoyment in the football news, despite the World Cup feeling like a lifetime ago, as Rob Jupp, Matt Lowndes and Simon Ryder did this week.

And for those of us who wished we could be beside the seaside with an ice cream but have to instead make do with the Mr Whippy van in the car park, you can join Precise Mortgages!

On a final note, if you are worried that your holiday diet has perhaps not gone to plan, and in fact headed in the other direction, keep in mind these wise words from Dominic Hiatt:
