Borro appoints new director

Borro has announced the appointment of Steve Brennan as its new director of lending.

Steve is joining the bridging lender on 21st March from Masthaven Finance where he was head of credit and played a key role on the credit committee.

He has been active in bridging since 2003 and brings a wealth of experience that Borro hopes to utilise as it continues its expansion.

Paul Aitken, founder and CEO of Borro, said bringing Steve on board was an important step because it showed that Borro had established a reputation as a growing force in the bridging market.

“Steve’s experience will enable us to increase our already rapid growth in the sector, maintaining our commitment to key service levels that make us such an attractive lender,” said Paul.

“A key part of Steve’s role will be working to further integrate our luxury asset and property offerings.

“A client recently borrow[ed] £24,000 against two works of art in order to cover the valuation fees for a £4m property loan and provide cash flow for their business.

“We expect to see more and more demand for this type of solution, and we look forward to Steve helping us service this.”

Steve added that he was relishing the opportunity presented by the new role.

“The combination of property and luxury assets is uniquely beneficial to clients and this represents a chance to bring my deep experience to an innovative platform,” said Steve.

“I look forward to helping Borro take their business to the next level.”
