Last week’s NACFB Annual Industry Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner saw the association's current Chairman make his last event appearance.
The award ceremony held at the Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge acted as the last event appearance for outgoing Chairman, Marcus Grimshaw, whose term expires at the end of December Current Vice Chairman, Paul Goodman, is set to step up at the start of 2015.
In his speech at the event, Mr Grimshaw thanked his colleagues and noted how the association has reached the highest number of patrons and members on record.
The evening, which was sponsored by Shawbrook Bank saw a set of records exceeded with the dinner being the highest attended to date and almost a doubling of last year’s charity raising efforts. The Starlight Children Foundation received over £20,000 across the 700 guests.
Comedian Alexander Armstrong provided the Northumbrian folk song and stand-up routine, while the twelve-piece Royal Hen Modern Dance Orchestra under band leader Pete Long supplied the music.
